The Ellison Bay Manor served as an auspicious location for the Midsummer's Music "Crown Jewel Event of the Season" on Wednesday.

An audience of 150 people paid $150 a ticket to hear a concert in the 35,000-square-foot home's grand parlor, featuring pianist Jeannie Yu on a 10-foot-long Fazioli F308 specially shipped from Chicago for the instrument's Door County debut.

The ensemble played works by Mozart, Johann Nepomuk Hummel and Sergei Liapunov as the audience faced two-story windows with a view of the water.

The chamber music festival has added a second concert in the mansion, scheduled for 3 p.m. Labor Day, Sept. 2. For more information, visit www.midsummersmusic.com or call (920) 854-7088.
