The silver 10-gauge cannon originally adorned Asher’s grandfather Capt. John Roen’s 51-foot yacht “Sonia.” As each of the seven ships and the Coast Guard Cutter passed Roen Salvage a three-cannon salute was fired. / Samantha Hernandez/Door County Advocate
