    Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sixel Sr. of Sturgeon Bay plan to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on June 1 at home with their family. They were married on May 26, 1948, at Salem Lutheran Church in the town of Nasewaupee.

    The Jacksonport Women's Club sponsored the planting of 'Prairiefire' crabapple trees at the Erskine Rest Area, the town cemetery and the Historical Society in Jacksonport. Dan Dayton cultivated the 'Prairiefire' and his family continues to summer in Jacksonport. The blooming of the trees is expected to coincide with Maifest next weekend.
