    Brussels column: Students learn how to keep teeth healthy

    February is National Children's Dental Health month, and in keeping with the ideals of that designation, kindergartners and third-grade students at Southern Door Elementary School got a visit from local dental health professionals.

  3. 4-H food drive to help local pantries

    The East Maplewood Beavers 4-H Club — which includes youth from Brussels, Forestville, Maplewood, and the Southern Door area — will host an annual food drive on Feb. 11. Club members will collect items and donations at Marchant's Foods in Brussels. They will also collect donations at Pick 'n Save and bag groceries at Econo Foods in Sturgeon Bay.

    Get ready to show pull out your red, white and blue and show your Eagle spirit at the "Proud to be an Eagle Night" event Friday during the girls basketball game at Southern Door School. The Eagles will take to the court against the Sturgeon Bay Clippers.

  5. Brussels column: Musical offers 'memorable moments'

    It's that time of year again. The fifth-grade students at Southern Door Elementary School have been dancing, singing and practicing lines nonstop for their 37th annual Fifth Grade Musical, which kicks off Tuesday.
