    The Door County Humane Society will hold its annual rummage sale from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26. You can get in early, after noon on Friday, with a $5 donation.

  2. Bowling tournament was a success

    The American Legion 9th District bowling tournament was held on the weekends of Feb. 22-23 and March 1-2 at Apple Valley Lanes in Sturgeon Bay. The bowling tournament is an annual event held in different areas within the district.

    The Forestville American Legion has chosen the winners of its annual coloring contest. The kindergarteners and first-graders at Southern Door colored pictures of the American Flag. First-grade winners are pictured here with Legion member Al Buechner.

    The Southern Door Fire Department held its annual banquet on March 15 at Tosty's Bar and Restaurant in Forestville. At this banquet, three people were recognized for their many years of service and their retirement.
